Nedumangattu School's headmistress, Mrs. Meenakshi Amma, was travelling to Nedumangattu in her vehicle when she was unjustly stopped by some youngsters on the 7th, on the public road near Karakulam. A reporter from Nedumangattu states that a case has been filed in the police station register indicating that she was physically hurt during the incident.

Some old silver coins worth two lakh forty thousand rupees are set to be sold by the government. Mankamma J. Stasingh of Secorpetta, Madras, has agreed to purchase them. The middleman has requested that the entire collection be transported to Kochi for delivery.
